Flat Stanley: Destination Malmsbury

There has been a lot of post watching around Malmsbury Primary School in the last week. Our first visiting Flats arrived last week and already we are hosting Flat Adventurers from many different corners of the world.

We will be communicating with schools in other places in the world. Can you name one of the places? (Look for the yellow envelope icon…)

Flat Stanley

Last term Grade Prep/One gathered in the Reading Corner with the grade 1/2’s to read Flat Stanley together.  The hero of the story is Stanley Lambchop, an ordinary boy who became flat after being squashed by a bulletin board!  Being flat has many advantages for Stanley, but the one we liked best was Stanley’s ability to travel far and wide…in an ordinary envelope!

We made our own Flat people that could travel out into the world.

Quand est Harry retourez?

When is Harry back?  This question has been asked a lot in our class recently, as we are all looking forward to Harry getting back from his family holiday.

Late last term Harry went to Europe with his family.  We have missed him in the Grade Prep/One room, but we have enjoyed getting postcards through the mail.  Harry has written to us about his adventures in Croatia and France and it sounds like he has been having a great time.

What will you ask Harry about his holiday?
